Solara Swim is a sustainable brand, therefore we use recycled materials such as recycled yarns made of waste products like discarded plastic bottles, fishing nets, and other ocean waste, which in turn requires less energy and water to produce. As a result,this cleans the oceans, preserves marine life, and reduces carbon waste in the atmosphere. Once the swimsuit has reached the end of its life and is discarded, it can be repurposed indefinitely in a sustainable manner.

As Solara Swim grows, we plan to continue making steps towards sustainability. Due to this being an ongoing journey, we appreciate your patience as we learn and expand! We avoid waste by producing only small batches and restocking based on demand, quality over quantity always. Our swimwear is also made by the sun, literally! Using solar power, our pieces are naturally powered from sunshine. On very sunny days some of the power is sent back to the power grid, and on cloudy days the power is brought back in to make more products. Our pieces are made from recycled post and pre consumer plastics as well as recycled ocean waste. Our suits don’t include removable cups which often end up being tossed, ruined, or wasted. Everything is shipped in a light-weight mailer made 100% from ocean bound plastic pollution that is able to be 100% recycled again with soft plastics. Our mailers are also reusable!
